8-Week Beginners Series on the Basics of Yoga
8-WEEK SERIES CLASSES ARE 1 HOUR.
WE RECOMMEND PRE-REGISTERING FOR THESE CLASSES
The next series begins: Sunday, September 27th at 11:45am and 5:30pm and Tuesday, September 29th at 11am and 7:30pm. The 8-week basic series is the most effective way we know of to introduce people to Ashtanga yoga and vinyasa flow.
This series takes the fear out of beginning a yoga practice. When I began practicing yoga, I jumped right into a regular class on the schedule. It was so different than anything I had ever done but despite having no clue what I was doing, I absolutely loved it. The movement, the breathing, the vocabulary, and the mental focus was all new to me but I just followed along as best as I could. This is the “fake it until you make it” approach. Not everyone is as willing (or naive) as me to start in this way so we’ve developed a beginner series to introduce people slowly and effectively to the transformative practice of yoga. At Balance, we teach 2 styles: ashtanga and vinyasa. We will cover the standing postures of the Ashtanga Primary Series each class and finish class with vinyasa flow. Upon completion, students will be ready to move into regular classes on the schedule. Come with an open mind and a desire to learn something that will truly enhance your life. Your body will become stronger and more agile and your mind will be more calm and focused. We limit this series to 20. Pre-registration is recommended but not mandatory. 1 x week: $125, 2 x week: $180, 3 x week: $235, and 4 x week $290. Next series begins September 27th and 29th. Classes are on Sundays at 11:45am and 5:30pm and Tuesdays at 11am and 7:30pm.
Cost for all 8 weeks : $125 to attend 1 class per week, $180 to attend two classes per week, $235 to attend 3 classes a week, and $290 to attend 4 classes a week . SERIES CLASS CARDS CAN ONLY BE USED AT SERIES CLASSES
Classes are approximately one hour long.
