I found my way to yoga in 2006. I began like many do…in a gym. I started with one class a week, then after several months of practice I went on the hunt for more. I showed up at the doorstep of Balance Yoga to attend a Led Primary series class in February 2007. It was the hardest practice of my life, but at the end I knew I had found what I had been searching for. After trying multiple styles and teachers, I signed up for their basics series then moved onto the Mysore program. I have made Balance Yoga my main studio for practice and learning with
Marsha and Kathy. My teaching style is a direct reflection of my personal practice of Ashtanga yoga.
I am an E-RYT 200 through the yoga alliance. In February, I will spend a week with my teacher Taylor Hunt studying Ashtanga and addiction. I am excited to learn how to help others through the combined power of Ashtanga and recovery.
