Marsha McNeight

40124_1624185730624_8205078_nMarsha began practicing ashtanga yoga shortly after graduating from GSU with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She thrived on the discipline, strength, and clarity that the practice provided. She knew instantly that it would be a lifelong practice and pursuit for peace and contentment. She was offered a teaching position in 2003 and was thrilled to make yoga not only her passion but also her career.

She has taught at several studios around Atlanta and has finally found her home at Balance Yoga as the owner. She finds the work to be challenging and highly rewarding. She thoroughly enjoys teaching people who are willing to do the work to make their lives better mentally and physically. She strives to keep her students and herself calm, focused, and happy throughout the practice.

Marsha knows that the true teacher is the yoga itself so she works to keep the studio and each class feeling good, comfortable, supportive, and loving so students continue to come back and practice. She knows that yoga works, you just have to do it consistently and mindfully!

She is grateful to all the people she has worked with over the years. They have all led her to where she is now. Notable teachers include: Adele Gail, Tim Miller, David Williams, Manju Jois, David Swenson, Paul Dallaghan, David Garrigues, and Sharath Rangaswamy.
